YouthPOWER · by Future of India Foundation
A self-paced fellowship for any young Indian who wants to understand how their district actually works. Read, go visit, observe, document. 6 to 12 weeks at your own pace. Free.
Free. No application. Sign-up only when you want to earn a certificate.
What you will do
Each module opens with sections from the YouthPOWER Course Reader explaining how India's institutions support young people, who runs them, and what they're meant to deliver. Same content the offline cohort reads. About 30–45 minutes per module.
Each module names three anchor institutions to visit in your own district — the schools, ITIs, employment offices, panchayat, and the rest. Read the institution note before you go, then observe what's actually there.
Document what you found through KoboToolbox on your phone, or download the PDF checklist and write notes by hand. 15 approved submissions earn the YouthPOWER Ambassador certificate.

The six modules
How is your district organised, and where do democracy, representation, and administration meet on the ground?
What does the pathway from school to college, skilling, and scholarships look like in your district?
What practical employment, enterprise, and livelihood support exists in your district, and where does it sit stuck?
What institutional support exists for young people who are poor, remote, vulnerable, or seeking voice — and how does your MLA fit in?
Can you now build governance knowledge yourself, and engage your MP respectfully and usefully?
What practical, meaningful intervention can you take from observation through engagement to outcome?
Read the first module without signing up. Sign in only when you want your visits to count toward a certificate.
